Redesign of the outdoor spaces and square layout

The lowering of the open spaces in front of the Engelsburg created the conditions for designing the new square of the monastery. Thanks to this intervention and the simple treatment of the surfaces, the historic buildings gain a strong spatial presence. At the same time, the accesses to the square and to the monastery receive a new organizing structure. In parallel, the square can be used for festivals and concerts, serving as the village square for the municipality of Vahrn.
