Redevelopment and restoration of the Neumelans granary
The upper floor of the historic barn, with its square layout and almost no windows, has been converted into a living space. Some openings, with slanted edges, have been carefully inserted into the historic masonry, blending harmoniously with the building's original structure. Inside, a wooden box—also serving a structural role—has been integrated into the existing timber frame and is used as sleeping area. In the living zone, the various functions are arranged around a central core, allowing for an unobstructed experience of the historic exterior wall and a strong sense of spaciousness, typical of a barn.
